Nothing adds to the stress in life like a blocked toilet. these can occur simply by too much toilet paper being used or something not meant to be flushed falling in the toilet that requires removing. Other times it could be a deeper issue, such as scale build up in the drain or an incorrectly installed waste pipe causing restriction. Our goal is to solve this as quickly as possible and our engineers will advise you on any remedial works required to get your facilities working perfectly.
Gullies are ground level openings where grey water enters sewers. These will usually service your Kitchen and Bathroom facilities. Kitchen waste contains fat and food, making gullies prone to blockages and causing flooding in gardens and patios that requiring drain clearing.
Manholes are access points that allow entry into drains to allow cleaning and maintenance. Most properties have manholes located within the property boundary. Over time these can become blocked and cause flooding, requiring clearing and maintenance. In some instances manholes can become obstructed by foreign objects which needs to be removed to reinstate proper flow to the drain
Similar to your kettle, hard water can deposit calcium in your drain. Over years this can build up creating large, physical obstructions in your drains leading to repeat blockages. In some instances, where accessible, these scale deposits can be broken off with hand tools but in many situations the only remedy is de-scaling with a jetter. In some extreme examples the only remedy will be replacing the drain.
As they develop, roots from nearby trees and bushes can force their way into nearby drains. This creates steadily worsening blockages until the drain is completely blocked. Using various root cutting tools and CCTV we can remove these roots obstructing your drain and identify any damage that may have happened when the root entered the drain. This can sometimes result in excavation works being carried out to replace the damaged pipe.
Disposing of fat and grease down drains causes large deposits of fat, known as Fat-Bergs, to accumulate in drains. These cause restrictions to the flow in the line and become large obstructions in your properties drains. These can only be cleared with High Pressure Jetting and can be large jobs to clear as it can take repeated jetting to clear one Fat-Berg from a single drain.
